Magic Card Tricks Anyone Can Perform – Quick Find

Magic card tricks are fun to perform and most are pretty easy to do with just a little preparation beforehand. Practice a bit and you will perform tricks that will amaze your audience. Children can do these tricks and also wow their friends at the same time. This trick is a well known trick called the ‘Quick Find’.
Getting ready:
Before you begin your trick you will need to remove four cards from your deck of cards. Do the trick with a deck of 52 cards, that is a standard poker deck of cards. Remove the red nines and the red sixes. The six of hearts and six of diamonds and the nine of hearts and nine of diamonds are the removed cards. Put the nine of diamonds on the top of the deck and put the six of hearts right under the deck at the bottom. Face the cards down and make sure they stay like that. Keep out the six of diamonds and nine of hearts.
For the trick to start:
Display the nine of hearts and six of diamonds for your audience while holding the deck of cards in your left hand. Now, hold out the deck of cards and ask someone from your audience to place both the nine of hearts and the six of diamonds into the deck anywhere they would like. They will shove the cards into the deck.
The end of the trick:
{Holding the deck of cards in your left hand {or the right depending on which is more comfortable} , squeeze the top card and the bottom card together and toss the deck into your other hand.~Now with grace hold the deck in which ever hand is the most comfortable to you, put the deck into your other hand while squashing the top and bottom card together.~The deck will be moved from one hand to the other so begin with it in the most comfortable hand for you and with discretion as the deck moves to your other hand squish the top and bottom card together.} The cards you now have are from the top and bottom so you can reveal you have the cards.
Although these are not the same choice of cards that were chosen by the audience, they never notice that they are looking at a six instead of a nine, it almost always works. The ‘Quick Find’ trick and it’s effectiveness are dependent on how smoothly you perform it.
An alternative version of the ‘Quick Find’ trick:
The premise of this trick is the same except for one very important detail. You will use the exact same cards from another identical deck and put them into your hands instead of just using similar cards from the same deck. One goes on the top and one goes on the bottom of the deck again all face down.
Obviously any two cards may be used in this edition of the trick. The six of clubs and nine of diamonds may be used. Before placing these two cards like before on the deck in your hand, show the audience what cards they are. Ask your audience to place the cards lying on the table into the deck in random places. The cards could be put into the deck while it is spread across the table. The face of the cards cannot be seen. When you squeeze the deck and transfer it you will end up with the exact cards that the audience member has placed into your deck.
