Are The 1980’s Coming Back To Haunt Us

Everything comes back around. Before you know it you’re happily spending your money on the same stuff you did twenty years ago. Twenty years ago leggings with baggy tops were all the rage and today they’re seen again on shop dummies and down the catwalks. If we are stuck on an infinite loop doomed to repeat the same lifestyle choice over and over again, what else from twenty years ago are we likely to soon see making a return?
Back in the eighties all the cool kids had a sodastream. Despite the fact they produced the most horrible tasting fizzy drinks everyone wanted one. By the time you’d finish making a mess and getting sticky syrup everywhere you’re mom would usually remember why it was hidden away at the back of the cupboard in the first place. Impractical and disgusting it may have been but it certainly make the soda stream certainly made the summer months more fun. When you’re next wandering the isles of your favourite shop have a look around. Have you noticed they’re back? They’ve had an overhaul and the flavours have had a much needed improvement too.
One of the most iconic cartons of the 1980’s has to be Thundercats. The thought of several different species of big cats living together might not be very realistic but it was certainly entertaining for millions of kids? Thundercats has gone down in the history books as a cult classic. For a while now there have been whispers of a new CGI film bring these famous cats back but due recent economic difficulties these plans have been put on hold.
When it comes to shows on our televisions that we all loved, every person who was born in the 80’s who owned a TV set probably still knows the following lyrics: now this is a story all about how my life got flipped turned upside down. One of the highest paying actors of all time came from the genius of the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air. In a poetic coincidence if you’ve been near the cinema lately you’ll probably have noticed another blast from the past making its way back to the screen. The Karate Kid remake of the 80’s classic which just so happens to star Will Smith’s son, Jaden Smith. Thus completing the circle of fashion and cults repeated.
